I am way behind most of you with kids out on their own and retirement. Still work 10 hour days. I have two sons Benny in 7th grade and Eliot a senior in high school. Since I left high school, did a BS in mechanical engineering at Madison, 2 years a GM safety research and development making cars safe to crash, 3 more in LA being an expert witness for auto crash lawyers, 3 more doing a MS in engineering - dynamic systems theory, then 4 years at Stanford doing a PHD in learning theory. I stayed at Stanford doing basic research in learning, before leaving in the 90's to do three silicon valley start ups. Founded a non profit research group, with the left overs of Stanford Knowledge integration lab, which I still direct today. See www.skil.org At 50 I got married to Tina Niemi who is professor of geology. She studies earthquakes around the world and we had two kids. Still playing soccer a couple of times a week but I am a lot slower and lot more sore.
